Tarangire National Park

Close to Arusha, 118 km away, Tarangire National Park gets its name from the river that threads its way through the length of the reserve.The park is characterized by dense vegetation of acacia and mixed woodland, the area around Tarangire River however, is dominated by huge baobab trees.
